October 20, 2022 – Every year during October, our whole team Goes Pink in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. This was our fifth year hosting our WLF Goes Pink event to promote awareness and dialogue for this disease, and our team showed up in all areas. Our in-office team, our team in the shop, the crews out on sites, and even our trucks on the road sported pink for the day to show support and spread awareness.
1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetimes, so it’s important to catch the disease when it’s still in its early stages. This can be done by performing regular self-examinations to catch abnormalities, having routine check-ups with your doctor, and talking to your loved ones about breast cancer and making sure they’re following the same steps for early detecting. By spreading awareness, we can help catch breast cancer in its early stages and treat it more effectively.
Though October is over, we hope this dialogue will continue year round. By always being aware and having these conversations whenever possible, more and more women will be able to catch this disease in its early stages when it’s easier to treat and get back to living their lives.
